Performance, intestinal microbial population, immune and physiological responses of broiler chickens to diet with different levels of silver nanoparticles coated on zeolite

The aim of this study was to evaluate the effects different levels silver nanoparticles (Ag-NPs) coated on zeolite performance, gastrointestinal microflora, heterophile lymphocyte ratio and humoral immune system responses broiler chickens. Three hundred seventy-five chicks (Cobb 500) in a completely randomised design were distributed five diets: 1) basal diet, 2) diet containing 1% 3, 4 5) with 25, 50 75 ppm Ag-NPs. Performance traits recorded blood samples taken determine antibody response against Newcastle day 14, infectious bursal disease 21 serum immunoglobulins (Igs) determined 42. Heterophile evaluated days 28, 35 result showed that feed conversion (FCR) significantly decreased Ag-NP treatments compared control group (p < .05). Total anaerobic bacteria population Escherichia coli ileum caecum highest number lactobacillus observed NS50 Antibody Gumboro as well amount IgY Ag-NPs treatments. Significant differences 28 In conclusion, although using dietary could improve gut but also have side mechanism chickens.HighlightsSilver improved efficiency at levels.Ag-NPs (50 ppm) reduced number.Ag-NPs antibodies.
